EDIT: I have just put it in without screws. I don't know if it is ok. Also is it normal for the NBT to never actually power completely off. In the morning my NBT was instantly on (there was no boot animation) ? Doesn't that mean that the car doesn't go to sleep and that I will have battery drain issues ?

Yes mine is on constantly.... has been in for two years now and never fully flattens the battery. I drive mine every other day so gets a regular charge, so will depend on how much use your car gets
