I have been having a very slow leak for a long while! I was usually topping up with oil once ever 3-4 months.
But all of a sudden it has gotten worse.
My local is really good to me. allowed me to put the car up on the ramp and try and isolate it...
It is coming from the back of the engine where it meets the tranny...
it could be the sump, but it could also be the crank seal...
Is anyone aware of this happening? The usual you hear of are the rocker cover and oil filter housing...
Here are some pics and sorry if they are not very helpful...
You can see that we washed all the old oil away... so what you see is fresh, from running the engine on the spot at 2500rpm for 5 minutes.
