No mate.trust me.i have had an iPad now.it starts when you turned it on.i bought an iPad before and only turned it on few days later and the warranty starts on the day I turned it on. I just received it last week. If you still think the warranty has started, lets say its true, it's just one week!that's why I need this going ASAP.i think it's a bargain though!everyone in my family now have an iPad so really don't need this.a bargain for someone surely
