I'm one of the few people that has tried this and didn't work.
My mirror misadjusts every time I open the door or press the memory button.
I have used sand paper for cleaning the pins and applied contact cleaner in both sides. There was visible blue corrosion in the pins.
Tried again and was still working wrong. Should I apply compressed air into the female connector or dielectric grease instead of just contact cleaner?
I was getting an error code too for mirror motor malfunction.
