No the AutoPlay app that my CarPlay dongle uses does not provide any button mapping. I'll see if I have better control with the Zbox dongle when I get it. I've tried a couple of Android apps that are supposed to capture steering wheel control presses, but they do not sense anything. It's as if the head unit is blocking that.

Have you changed the app target in the "Navigation" option in settings? Sorry if that's already obvious.
