A few years ago I purchased a 2006 STi that had been crashed while racing at Mt. Tremblant. Long story short, the windshield, fender, roof and some of the trim had very similar spots to what is in the pictures. When the owner hit the wall, the battery shattered and the acid deposited in small droplets on the paint and such. The acid literally etched through the top surface. It's doubtful that it could have come from your battery, but could the transport truck battery been leaking?
