Hey guys, I've had my v1 hardwired since I got the car a couple years ago without any issues using this method http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=111583 .

After falling off the windshield for the hundredth time the power cable stripped so I just picked up a new one and re routed it, but now it won't turn on. I tried a new fuse, a new cable from V1 store (in addition to 2 other phone cables) and a new direct wire kit. I guess the only thing I haven't tried is a new fuse tap but I don't understand what could have broken from just the cable fraying?

Oh and it works with the cigarette adapter.
