So I have decided not to put any fluid in my passive tank. Assuming the transfer module on top of the active tank is at fault for a lot of fault codes and clogging up with crystalized DEF, I am hoping that by not putting anything in the passive tank, this pump will no longer be used and therefore will no longer fail and will no longer cause fault codes and require maintenance. I don't mind filling up the car more often with DEF.
