If they were OEM then I'd be surprised. URO parts makes garbage, at least from their Volvo parts history.

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised either.
I’m almost certain this is the case because with this new VC the sound is much quieter and intermittent. If the VC has nothing to do with the issue then there would be no change in the noise.
