I like to leave the window open whenever I can since I like natural wind.

It wasn't that bad when I got the car couple years ago (just loud when you open the hood)
Now I can hear it if I just crack my sunroof open when I drive around in the city During the day (meaning there are many other noises)

I will have to admit that I hadn't changed the oil for 1 1/2 year. I did engine flush plus threw liqui moly ceratec. But it didn't help.
(I know you have to drive fast sometimes but I still notice it after long highway drive)

It's embarrassing to hear such sounds when I have a girl next to me since it sounds like car is running like 1992 honda civic.

Do you think late oil changed did the permanent damage to the lifter?
