But in answer to the question - yes the propshaft must be marked and put back together exactly the same as it was taken apart due to the balancing of it (from what I've been reading about it). If you don't then you are likely to suffer with vibrations which is what sounds like you may have done.
Thanks Nick, I did mean propshaft...

I guess I'll have to get under there again sooner rather than later. I have to replace the heatshields anyway.

Any ideas how to get the propshaft back how it was? It what.. 3 positions at one end and 3 at the other, that's 9 possible "combinations"?
