Bit late now, but having looked on the net a bit - I don't think this had a separate 'key'.
There is usually a locking pin, which prevents idle hands opening the battery drawer and filching the battery.
The pin (or key) would have to be
removed before the drawer could be opened.
Or alternatively you could try a knife.
