I'm quite interested. I'm currently doing something similar with my iPhone - it usually wears an otterbox, the case for which clips into an included belt holder. I have that holder clipped onto a protoype of cardboard strip running from tucked under the center speaker/vent grill to tucked in behind the wood trim piece. Works well enough, but I want something cleaner. This looks adaptable.
