Recently did an upgrade relatively on the cheap side for my 2011 with base audio. Got individual audio speakers used off eBay for ~70 for the pair plus tweeters. The tweeters ended up not fitting so the shop I used for the install had bavsound tweeters in stock, swapped them in for ~80 bucks. Used F15 HK underseats (used like 50 bucks for the pair on eBay, came in bavsound boxes interestingly enough) , kept the stock rears powered off headunit for fill, swapped the headunit with an Eonon model and added a backup camera. Powered it all with a JL RD400/4 I got refurb for 200, and used the technic harness. It sounds really good. Good response at all levels, good staging, everything is loud and clear Eventually I'll get an enclosure for the trunk and add a mono amp for a sub, but that's just gonna be bonus for later.
