I have a 2006 E90 330d SE. The dampers will make the most difference. I found the OE ones had a small window where they worked ok - very load/temperature sensitive - especially with RFTs.
I had Koni FSDs fitted with the oe springs at first (100k - 115k miles) as ride quality was my priority as the suspension was making long journeys tiresome.
Then a rear spring snapped so i upgraded to EPK springs and have run like this from 115k-130k miles. The drop is just right. I get a lot of comments that the car 'sits well'.
The ride is firmer but not in a detrimental crashy way. The handling is improved further with even less roll/squat/dive.
The only negative with this combo, and this has been posted by others before is the bounce from high speed sharp undulations, where the FSDs seem to get caught out. But it's 90% there which is the best thing i have done to this car.
