I'm looking at getting some aftermarket wheels and also tires for my car. As I'm not rich I'm hoping to find a wheel that is low-pressure cast, since that seems to be an okay price-performance level without jumping into the 2k range for wheels.
I'm actually looking at these wheels,

Anyways, forward to my question, would it be a bad idea to spray extra layers of clear coat onto new wheels as soon as you get them?
I'm asking because I see that many people have paint chipping problems on cheap/inexpensive wheels.
Thank you!
