I got a price of around $3600 with a core for a custom built LSD. Basically, they were going to buy a new bmw/zf diff, and build it up with 30/90 ramps.
It was offered as a special deal to me. I assume that what you are looking into would be more, unless they are now being mass produced somewhere.
Whoops. It seems your are just thinking of a higher geared open diff.. my bad.
