this should not be hard, honestly I have not done it as I do have cup holders in the back. In my mind all you need is the arm rest with the cup holder in it with matching leather to your seat. Figure out how to swipe them and you will be done. If you wanna go cheep then I would take the leather off the arm rest, maybe they have pre installed things for the cup holder to be added and this way all you will need is the cup holder
I would start with option number 2. Worst case you go and get a new arm rest with cup holders
