I pulled a 2000 pound trailer 2100 miles last July with the stock 400w fan and a six speed. I also had about 800 pounds of stuff in the car, not including the large mammal that is my body.

Oil temp was more of a concern than coolant temp. A 60/40 water:coolant mix never exceeded 215 F. However, I almost pulled over once pulling a very tall hill east of Albuquerque, WOT in 3rd Gear at about 70 MPH because my oil temps were approaching the Serious Shit level. Sorry, my gauge cluster has an MPG label there, but it was about 3/4 of the way, so at or above the High dot on a sport cluster.

With that said, if the 400w fan can do that, I don't know if I see the point in an upgraded fan for our cars. There are 328 race cars running the stock fan.
