Yeah, but I think the dealer would argue that 12k miles is enough for another issue to have developed and then blame the owner for not fixing it properly. Seeing as how the car has been led to a sludge issue due to an oversight on oil change maintenance, the judge/jury/etc. might see that as reason enough to believe whatever argument the dealer makes.

Yeah, it's a tricky issue indeed. These are those difficult situations that make you question how worth the cost it is to pursue, and if you even have enough documented evidence to prove your case. It makes me envy those people who save every single receipt and ask for everything in writing. |
