They count on the fact that you're without a car and so will do whatever it takes to get the situation resolved with the least hassle I. E. Not use them
Also not just bmw but a lot of franchise outlets sell slightly cheaper cars next to their "used approved" ones but actually come with zero warranty and aren't covered by their usual T's and C's. Gotta be careful out there!

Mine were replaced at 90k. Bmw paid for turbos as goodwill. Guess depends on dealer and relationship
