How can ONE spring set from eibach / whoever be supposed to work properly for all these different models?

From the factory BMW fit varying springs to each model, depending on model / spec / engine size and even certain options like sunroof and autobox which are heavy for example.

You can see this if your BMW part man is friendly and you have a look at the computer parts screen and go to the springs selector page, after you select the model you have to tick what options you have and these will change the spring part number.

That is why the BMW performance kit comes without springs and you have to get those separate as they are car specific. Again this is why you can't get spring tag numbers from realoem either.

For me this is one reason to avoid generic off the shelf kits.

The Birds B3 suspension kit is built and developed on 335i's so I knew it was going to be the best available. Sorry if you don't have a 335i
