I have bad experience with 10 mm spacers and found out it is not recommended on our cars. The lip will eventually be chopped off (happened to me) and your wheels will be riding on the bolts only. 5mm will work.

Not sure I understand, by spacing my et42 wheels i am only bringing it back to a more OEM spec, and to be honest im not even sure which lip your are refering to
