I had the exact same fault code 4A2E back in October. I changed the controller only and all is well again. Good luck, and hint, look into doing it without pulling the intake manifold, it is do-able, but a tight reach.
Footnote.....how is your thermostat? If it is not keeping temps around 88C, this is the reason your glow plug controller is shot.
