Not sure of the Sydney market or the extent of the rim damage but that seems very expensive to have the rims repaired. I have had some done here in Perth at a very reputable repairer in Malaga and they only charge $160 and they look like brand new.
There was no cracks repaired or anything like that - just complete strip and repaint.
You may want to shop around as $250 seems very expensive.
