The conti's have plenty of traction, even for a higher HP vehicle.
I would bet they preform better than a sub-par low-end 'summer performance' tire that would have a much lower treadwear rating.

Treadwear and traction are inversely proportional. Higher the treadwear, harder the rubber, long life, lower the traction. Common tire knowledge.
When i say front, not fwd. front tire. To go along for the ride.
