Fixing Fiber Optic (MOST)?

Hi all, trying to get my audio system working after finding a broken fiber optic cable in the trunk wiring harness. Wondering if there is any way to fix what I have. Attached a picture to the post (new so I may have done it wrong).

Just bought an '06 330xi knowing that the radio didn't / doesn't work and incidentally noticed a clunking from the rear of the car. Turns out I had a really bad rear shock mount that actually sheared through the wiring harness for the amp and cd changer on the drivers side. I was able to solder the speaker wires back together but my fixing stopped when i realized two of the fiber optic cables were also worn through. One goes to the plug that would go into the cd changer if the car was equipped, the other cable into the amp. Any chance I can fix this DIY style or will I need to get a new cable and run it from the amp up to the head unit? Or are there any options for non fiber optic connections?
