For me, screen mirroring works the best because my phone has a lot more horsepower than the head unit. This would be the case even if I upgraded to the 6 or 8 core head unit.
Screen mirroring works via WiFi, but you can only control the phone using the touch screen when connected via USB.
You could use a tablet and a Bluetooth adapter plugged into the AUX port to do this, but it would look rubbish !
