There are a few aftermarket coolants that will work, but I dont think you will find any of them at the local walmart or autozone.

Please dont use regular coolant, most of it is highly corrosive and will wear out parts faster.

Since its the summer and you are not that low, I would just add distilled water. The BMW mix is 50% coolant and 50% distilled water anyway so if the mix is 45/55 coolant/water it wont make much of a difference.

Infact you could run on distilled water alone if you wanted if you were only in warmer weather.

So two options, run to the dealer, or run to the super market and add some distilled water.
