Yeah the pure stage 2 are still the factory housings just porter out to fit a bigger exhaust wheel and compressor wheel. The gc lites looks to be a completely new casting as well as a custom tubular style manifold.
I guess I’m asking has anyone just cut off the oem turbo, tig welded a t3/t4 scroll style plate on and then potentially able to run just about whatever turbo they wanted, kind of like a top mounted single.
I’ve taken the liberty of doing just that, cutting the oem borgwarner turbo off the manifold and it looks like I’ll have no problem in making this work. This is what the oem manifold looks like with the turbo hacked off as well as the guy on eBay selling a single turbo kit based on them oem turbofold.
And no I didn’t use my table saw to do this lol
