Sure sounds like its the water pump... I'd check your coolant level asap. DIY isn't that bad but can take a little time (I've only done it once). |
Thanks. Checked the coolant level and it's just about up to the "max" level on the yellow marker (i had to research how to read, as i expected something that floated rather than being fixed within the reservoir). So I'll drive home slow tonight and see if i can borrow a car until i get the code reader
