Nope, its all in the trans. Mechatronic = tcu + valve body. That said, I'm not likely to do this anytime soon or ever. Lots of more interesting and engaging cars which deserve the attention. I'm not done with e90 platform yet, want to enjoy the n54 aka "the German 2jz" lol
