We like the water but wouldn't use a boat enough to justify it. So we bought stand up paddle boards and going out on those a few times a year typically feeds that fix.

Dad had a boat (23' I/O) we kept at a marina in Weymouth, MA. We used to run it in and out of Boston Harbor or down to Plymouth and back. I hear ya. I doubt i'll miss the slot car track in the coming years, but i'm sure i'll miss listening to my dad's excuse for losing because his lane doesn't have the same voltage mine does, or his tires weren't clean, etc...
