In the end it's all nuts and bolts, so I wouldn't say it's complex. If you're worried about screwing something up by putting the car on jack stands, removing the splash guard, and possibly dropping the front sub frame, plus don't want to spend 5-6 on it because it will be your first time, then you might want to pay someone to do it. I would suggest you not be intimidated, though. If you know righty tighty lefty loosey you can do it. If you don't have a basic wrench, ratchet, and socket set then you'll need to pick some up. The special tool you'll need is an o2 sensor socket. They're pretty cheap.
