Also, keep this in mind that eBay offers absolutely NO security either, and they do not actively pursue bogus eBay ads.
For about 6 months now, I have noticed a flurry of bogus eBay ads (the classic example is the need to email for the 'Buy it Now' price or they only accept money order). I contact eBay, yet I still see the same ads pop up.
