I had a similar issue a last year. It turned out to be the oil filter cap gasket. Just like you I had replaced the oil filter cap gasket but I was not torqueing the cap properly. It may appear like the OFHG is leaking but sometimes that is not the culprit. Both leaks will leave a similar trace.
