On a shitty day the snow if the roads haven't been cleaned it doesn't really matter I or xi you can't drive. That being said I bought a xi considering the extra ground clearance n peace of mind. Having driven it two winters though I can tell you it you ll be just fine with a rear wheel. May even be more fun.
