I actually inspected the intake for CBU when I replaced injector 4. It was not too bad and ISTA+ Intake Port Sooting diagnostics confirms that. As for the swirl flops, I did not look at them. I will when/if I replace injector 2 but again ISTA+ says they are OK. (I reran the test tonight) As for running two tankfuls with hotshots, the car is not derivable at all. It barely idles in the garage for 5 minutes before going into limp mode. Current tank has TECHRON additive. At this rate, it will probably take me a month to run it through.
It seems to me that as the engine gets hot, the situation gets worse.
