I agree the stock pads get overheated if you're driving hard. A novice or intermediate should be fine, imo.

Hmm, what was the result of your grooved rotors? I ran my original rotors for 20k miles, of which probably 2000 of those miles were on track. That's 20 events with a set of R4 pads and a set of the stock pads, obviously. They looked like hell but still stopped the car.

Started to grind, but that noise is minor compared to my camber plate rattle/clunk, lol.
