some people would rather daily an M3 and put 20k miles a year on it. and keep repeating the cycle with one M3 after the next. Some people would rather put 5k miles a year on it and drive a cheap beater to work... and upgrade to a 911 in a few years. I know this example is extreme, but there is no denying that having a cheap daily saves money in the long run.

And another thing is that when you daily something a lot, it loses its luster and doesn't feel fast anymore. DD'ing my civic all week and then getting into my stock f80 feels like I'm jumping into warp drive.
