If you're going the monitor route, you'll get a much wider resolution (provided you have the GPUs to support that) which may be much nicer depending on what you play.

I haven't really decided how far away the tv would be.. I'm re doing our spare room into my "office/game room" ..
Ill be playing games like crisis, sc2 and whatever else comes out..
