I just want to add a point I think is necessary. A lot of information on this car and others is based on mileage when it comes to parts. I have a 2007 e93 with 81k kilometers (roughly 50K miles) on her. She is a summer car only. Although the parts have not yet met their mileage date for the "caution zone" to be inspected and/or replaced I would recommend anyone to take the time at some point in the year to crawl over your vehicle and do a visual inspection. I work in aviation and everything is time based, parts...fluids...inspections....everything. After 11 years my car isn't mileaged out on specific components but as per fluids you should really consider a preventive program. Rubber belts wear out, Caliper seals and suspension bushings get rot etc....so Just a thought.  |
Great advice, much more often heard on forums for cars that lean more towards the 'toy' end of the spectrum, such as the Z car forums here. I too have a 2007 E93, and although the mileage is higher than yours it is still nowhere near the 150,000+ miles a normal daily driver would have by now. Some maintenance needs to be time-based rather than mileage based.
