Although I suspect that your post will be moderated for political reasons, I wanted to say that I personally know linemen who respond to mutual aid calls for major storms. Also, my DW worked with line/tree crews for almost a decade, and they would drop everything and go away for weeks at a time whenever they were called for storm recovery. Next time anyone sees a bucket truck, thank the crew for their service instead of cursing them out for making everyone wait a few extra seconds in a work zone!
I was out on one of our area's interstate highways late last week, and no crap there were more power company bucket trucks in convoys from New England and Canada heading south than there were Toyotas on the road.....
