Yeah, kept meaning to say that when it was bring re-registered onto the mainland, the DVLA lost everything. It wasn't until a few months later I realised I'd not received the V5. When I called DVLA that had no idea what I was talking about so they literally knew nothing about the car nor did they have any paperwork.
Luckily I had the receipt of the tax disc I bought on the day I dropped the paperwork at the DVLA office so could at least prove that their office had seen the paperwork (otherwise they'd not have issued me one). They got me the V5 pretty quickly after that but hadn't noticed the odd wording.
I'll call DVLA tomorrow and see what light they can shed.
