can you explain your thoughts on this please - surely a blocked filter would starve the car of fuel and if anything cause the car to use less fuel, not more ?
OP, does the car feel any slower ? Usually and particularly with dervs, fuel is power, more fuel, more power. If the fuel filter is blocked it may be struggling to get enough to the engine making it feel slower.
