I just ordered this cable
http://www.one-stop-electronics.com/...&product_id=16 and will likely have to desolder the 8th pin (getting a Nov build 335xi) so I'll let everyone know how it works out come January ;-)
Question though: since we've got these cables, is there still a need to get the BT cable or is there software that works with these that provides the same information? I haven't been able to explore NCS Expert, CarSoft, DIS, etc. since I don't have the car yet.
