Been driving it for a few days now and no more vanos codes have popped up. Looks like it was 100% the vanos solenoid. Now I need to decide whether to buy a new one or just continue using the one from my old e93. I guess if it stays working then I'll just let it stay.
Price updated after removing the JBL amps/subs.
