I noticed that in your steps, you changed the VO, but you never defaulted the coding. The coding should be defaulted in the DME, DSC, and Kombi modules at the very least. Lack of doing this is probably why cruise control does not work. It's probably also the reason why you could not start the car. Does pressing the brake in, instead of the clutch, start the car?
Also, the VO is redundantly stored in the FRM so the VO should be written to the FRM as well.

Yea I did that as well. The actual problem is that there are 2 wires that go from the cas module to the clutch switch module and from the cas to the DME. I just haven't gotten to it. Hasn't really been an issue hahaha.
