My 2007 335i coupe sport 126,000 miles, went into limp home mode. No temperature gauge, so first indication was yellow thermometer followed quickly by red. Was traveling on highway at about 70 - 80. Was fortunate that I was near an exit. Called for tow, 40 miles or so to my local BMW dealer. Fixed in 1/2 a day, cost about $1600. half for parts the rest labor. Dealer said this pump is now "covered" for vehicle lifetime.
