You have forgotten about the Magnussen-Moss warranty act. BMW cannot deny warranty coverage for oil that meets or exceeds the BMW spec. Anyway, Amsoil is far superior to the 5-30 Castrol swill that they recommend. I would not put that stuff in my Saturn.
